I don't know either. But that doesn't mean I won't do what I can.

But you refused to carry me. Does that mean you can't? I hope you're not calling me heavy.

Oh, I don't know about that. Pride's pretty overrated anyway.

I don't hear that very often from a boy.

The one thing I
do
take pride in is being something different from the average guy. Surely you've noticed this by now.

Maybe after a while. I wouldn't want your ego to get ahead of you.
[ They finally make it to the garden. There's a stone bench and a fountain nearby, so she helps him sit down.]

Too late!

I guess you're more than used to the praise, huh?

[ He sets his crutches down at the side of the bench and clasps his hands behind his head, looking around at the garden with an unimpressed sort of frown. ]
Well I wish I had something good to say about this place.

Huh? Oh, no, I just meant the garden. But then again, I guess it just doesn't look as impressive when juxtaposed with you.

That wasn't too shabby, I suppose.
I really like Vale. Sanctum was nice, but this place makes me feel at ease. Despite all the . . . crazy stuff.

What, are you serious? That was like the lamest line I could have come up with. Is that what you're into?

At least give me a 1-to-10 rating, here.

Hm! Sounds fair. I'll do better next time.
I prefer travelling anyway - I get bored to death staying in one place too long. But you could definitely say it was a motivator, sure.

I used to travel a lot when I was younger, but now I wouldn't mind settling somewhere. Of course, as a Huntress, that might be difficult.
