You're a world-renowned fighter.
We're obviously leagues apart.

Oh yeah?
[ He sets his crutches down at the side of the bench and clasps his hands behind his head, looking around at the garden with an unimpressed sort of frown. ]
Well I wish I had something good to say about this place.

There's nothing you like about Beacon or Vale?

Huh? Oh, no, I just meant the garden. But then again, I guess it just doesn't look as impressive when juxtaposed with you.
[ And then he just smiles at her expectantly - as if seeing whether or not she'll take such blatant flattery with grace. ]

[ She chuckles ]
That wasn't too shabby, I suppose.
I really like Vale. Sanctum was nice, but this place makes me feel at ease. Despite all the . . . crazy stuff.

What, are you serious? That was like the lamest line I could have come up with. Is that what you're into?
[ There's a grin as he leans back on the bench, stretching his arms to rest his elbows on the back of it. ]
Haven's alright. Parts of it, anyway. Just like anywhere else, there are good neighborhoods and bad ones.

At least give me a 1-to-10 rating, here.
I grew up in one of the bad ones. So, no. I can't say I really do.

Hm! Sounds fair. I'll do better next time.
I prefer travelling anyway - I get bored to death staying in one place too long. But you could definitely say it was a motivator, sure.

I used to travel a lot when I was younger, but now I wouldn't mind settling somewhere. Of course, as a Huntress, that might be difficult.

Joking about it and talking about it are very different things. You'll learn the difference in time, I'm sure.

[ He grins at that, offering a lazy shrug. Admittedly, he's a little impressed with how quickly she adapted to his odd sense of humor. ]
Well that just means I lead a more exciting life than they do.

I'd hardly call that kind of life exciting. More along the lines of . . . survival.

I doubt it would get my blood pumping. I find that easier in a match. Though, in a match, you know your limits. It's why I chose to be a Huntress.

One of these days I'll take you on a tour of my old stomping grounds. I promise your hair will be standing on end before we're done.
