[There's just a sigh on the other end, though that's in response to the no answer and a beep thing.]

Where are you? The nurses said you ditched your hospital bed.

[There's silence for a moment, almost as if she expects an answer. She doesn't, she's just trying to find the right words. There's a lot she wants to say, but to him, not a machine.]

I know you probably don't want to talk about what happened. I don't blame you. But...

[There's another long pause, but this time, the words don't come at all. So she hangs up, frowning at the ceiling as she taps her thumb against the comm device. Then she rolls onto her side to get some sleep.]
