Here I thought maybe I'd get to preemptively make up for the time you're going to be MIA for.

Well, that was the plan. I avoided buying milk and bread at the store today and everything.

[She watches that eyebrow go up. And she hears what he's saying. There's a 50% chance he's going to say something terrible, and a 50% chance it could be amazingly romantic. Kind of a win either way, in her opinion, but it's the mystery that tugs at her interest.]

I'm listening.

[ He hasn't planned this at all, obviously, so it's purely off the cuff-- ]

Pizza and chill from now to... let's say, Saturday?

[ ... romantic... ]

...You do know that's a good way to wind up strangled, courtesy of your roommate, right?

[ He's ABOUT to say she has no grounds to critique HIS romantic life given the state of hers, but...

It doesn't have to only be at my place, geeze.

[She grins, shaking her head.]

The sooner I do this, the sooner I'll be back. Wouldn't want to risk missing Valentine's Day.

But I'll probably be starved for pizza when I get back.

[ He's just going to pretend he's not disappointed. Thankfully, he's used to not wearing his heart on his sleeve, so it comes pretty naturally. ]

[She picks up her keys from the dresser. While she won't be driving the uber-cycle down to the Docks, she does still need to get back inside her apartment later.]
